CHP System

CHP System

  • The 2 MW combined heat and power (CHP) project was the first attempt in China's chlor-alkali industry to utilize by-product hydrogen as an energy source through hydrogen fuel cells. It was also the first commercial CHP project with the largest power capacity in China at that time.

  • The project is equipped with six containers, containing 20 fuel cell systems with a total of 20 fuel cell stacks, which have a combined power generation capacity of 3,000 kW.

  • After the project is completed, it is expected to generate approximately 15.13 million kWh of electricity per year, saving about 9.34 million yuan in electricity costs annually. It will also save 0.18 million metric tons of standard coal, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 0.79 million tons, and save 3.55 million yuan in steam costs.
